The Florida A&M University National Alumni Association Gulf Coast - Mobile Chapter (GC-MC) was rechartered in September 2016 , after realizing several alumni lived and worked in the Mobile vicinity. Dr. William E. Barial served as the first president. The 5th Quarter Classic football game which actually spurred the members to recharter mobile chapter.

 

Membership grew rapidly, and holding stead with a chapter in the Mobile. Through the years, the chapter witnessed a resurgence of concerned, willing and dedicated members with a greater commitment to support the university and the greater gulf coast area.
